On Tuesday, November 25, Mr. Burgos was reading to students during lunch when suddenly the evil Trick E. Word made him stumble!

Mr. Burgos forgot all of his reading strategies in the face of Trick E Word.  Soon he forgot how to read all together!

Luckily, Reader Man appeared!!

Reader Man used his special spray to defeat Trick E Word and return Mr. Burgos' reading ability!

Thank you Reader Man!

Remember to return KidStuff Books, or money for purchase, to your child's teacher!

KidStuff Books went home last month for sale with all students.  Orders are being distributed as they are received, but we are still missing some books/orders.  Did you remember to turn in your book/purchase?

To the Elms Community -

Thanks to all of you for continuing to work with us in all of our endeavors.  Building Safety and School Security is always something we take seriously.  Jackson School District Policy dictates that PHOTO ID be presented at the front reception area of each of our buildings each and every time you enter.  When you plan on visiting the Elms Elementary School, either to pick up your child or attend an event, please be sure to have PHOTO ID available including the make and model of your motor vehicle.  This is district policy and must be strictly enforced.  Please inform friends, neighbors or relatives who may be visiting and/or picking up your child(ren) that they will need to produce PHOTO ID at main reception before being allowed to enter or pick up a child.  Also please note that parking on the bus ramp is not permitted at any time that school is in full session.  Please use the main parking lot and the visitor spaces during the school day when visiting our school.

We appreciate your cooperation in this regard as this is for the safety and security of all of our learners, and for everyone in the building.

New Procedures for Visiting Schools

We are pleased to share with you some updates to our procedures for visiting our schools. These changes were developed in collaboration with our district security staff, receptionists and the Jackson Township Police Department and represent our continued effort to evaluate our security needs and make changes when necessary.
Why are we making these modifications?

It is important for our staff to be able to focus on their primary mission – to educate our students and to keep them safe. We want to limit situations that draw focus away from those goals so we can continue to provide a safe and secure environment.
